HOT MIX ASPHALT PRODUCTION FACILITIES
A Year 2008 Training Program
January 17 & 18, 2008

 

What Is This?

This two day workshop varies in content from year to year.  Content is determined from customer requests.

The first day usually covers Principles of Drum Mix Production.

The second day covers various fields; in the past Operating Practices, Baghouse & RAP, Scheduled and Predictive Mainenance were presented.

Course cost:

Fees may vary from year to year depending on content. Classes fees average $100 per day.

A Year 2008 Training Program
February 25 & 26, 2008

What Is This?

  HMA Construction is a course covering
  all aspects of the laydown and
  compaction operations. Included will be
  a detailed paving operations checklist
  suitable for both engineers, inspectors,
  foremen, superintendents and paving
  personnel.

  The purpose of this course is to 
  put agency officials, paving contractors
  and consultants "on the same page"
  when planning and executing a HMA  
  project.

The course fee has not been set for 2008.

Design & Specification of Asphalt Pavements

What Is It?

This course covers the use of the ASPHALT PAVEMENT DESIGN GUIDE. It presents guidelines for design and specification of asphalt for a variety of "non-highway" applications including:

  • Urban Streets, Rural Roads, and Driveways
  • Commercial and Industrial Facilities
  • Specialty Pavements (paths, courts, tracks, etc)
  • Intersection Design

It includes structural design, materials and mix design, and specifications to ensure high performance.

What's New?

The Design Guide will be updated again in 2008. Information on Porous Asphalt is just one of the chapters that will be added. Check back on this site for information. All registered owners of the Guide will receive a notice in the mail when the update is complete.
