What Is This?
This two day workshop varies in content from year to year. Content is determined from customer requests.
The first day covers Principles of Hot Mix Production.
The second day covers Advanced topics: Mix Production with "RAS", Troubleshooting AC Content Problems, Troubleshooting Gradation Problems.

What Is This?
HMA Construction is a course covering all aspects of the lay down and compaction operations. Included will be a detailed paving operations checklist suitable for both engineers, inspectors, foremen, superintendents and paving personnel.
The purpose of this course is to put agency officials, paving contractors and consultants "on the same page" when planning and executing a HMA project.

Design & Specification of Asphalt Pavements
What Is It?
This course covers the use of the ASPHALT PAVEMENT DESIGN GUIDE. It presents guidelines for design and specification of asphalt for a variety of "non-highway" applications including:
- Urban Streets, Rural Roads, and Driveways
- Commercial and Industrial Facilities
- Specialty Pavements (paths, courts, tracks, etc)
- Intersection Design
It includes structural design, materials and mix design, and specifications to ensure high performance.
What's New?
The Design Guide was updated in 2008. A chapter on Porous Asphalt was added along with other revisions. This is a 3-ring binder with sections. The cost is $50.00 + S/H.
